This was my 3rd cosplay that includes some sort of custom belt pouches. I was fairly happy with the results of the earlier cosplays, but I really wanted to make these simple to assemble, more robust, and have a basic design that I could adjust for future projects.
Importing the Model
For this demo, I will be using the Brotherhood of Steel Distress Pulser from Fallout 4. I’m expecting the reader to have a basic understanding of Autodesk 3DS Max. (everything I’m doing is definitely beginner level!) I’m also assuming the reader has set up their Max for metric units of measure, but it should work fine if set to inches too.
