3rd Platoon Uniform Requirements
World War 1
3rd Platoon participates at the Great War Association's Newville, Pennsylvania
site as a part of the 80th Division, AEF. Due to this, our WW1 requirements
are the same as the 80th Division's requirements.
Click here to see the 80th
Division's uniform requirements.
World War 2
3rd Platoon bases our impression on the scenario of the event, rather than holding to a specific unit impression for all events. This allows us to tailor our look to the time & theater of the event.
New members should aquire the Basic Uniform first. This will allow the member to participate in most all events from the beginning of WW2 thru VJ day.
Basic WW2 GI Uniform: The basic uniform consists of the wool shirt and trousers, M1941 field jacket, overseas cap, cap toe shoes, and leggings. Web gear should generally be khaki. See Sean Foster's excellent article on this site for more detail. |

Generic Post D-Day Infantry Impression: This is the most common uniform that we wear at tactical events. The uniform consists of the Wool Trousers (with or without the M1943 trousers over the wool trousers), wool shirt, M1943 field jacket, overseas cap, and M1943 boots. Web gear can be a mix of khaki & OD. Again, see Sean Foster's excellent article on this site for more detail. |

Vietnam War
In 2006, 3rd Platoon will begin participating in Vietnam War tacticals as 3rd. Platoon, Charlie Company, 3nd. Battalion, 22th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. Currently, we're basing our equipment list off the Texas 25th Infantry Division's equipment list. Click here to see their equipment list. |
